Inspired by my travels to Japan and visiting the iconic Mount Fuji. Later that night I imagined an illuminating full moon sitting above the mountain top, set against an indigo sky. Hand printed and hand cut recycled paper remnants were salvaged from larger artworks. Some of the paper remnants were marked with the residue from my indigo vat, and gently pasted onto the card to represent the night sky, along with torn textural papers to resemble snow peaks and a polar landscape. This quaint handmade collage has been stitched to form another layer of texture and element of interest.
