Inspired by the white limestone rocks that are a prominent feature of the rugged Sorrento (Victorian) coastline. These formations and cliffs create a dramatic landscape with numerous rock pools for fun exploring. I love visiting Sorrento any time of the year for a charming seaside escape.This collage is handmade from salvaged paper remnants from larger artworks, a bubblewrap envelope and a torn vintage book cover. The textural papers were carefully selected and torn to articulate the crevices of the large rock formation. Recycled papers have been hand painted to achieve the desired colours of a slightly overcast day.
